Records management is more than just filing paperwork, there is a process that must be followed to ensure the adequate management of our records. Records must be managed in a prescribed manner that promotes integrity, reliability, confidentiality and sustainability for that record.

Attached is the State Records flow-chart entitled 'Creation to Archive', which details the process that must be followed to adequately manage records within a State Government agency. Follow this process to ensure you are managing your records adequately.

Walter Jackson is a Ngarrindjeri man that utilizes cultural knowledge as avenues to motivate and inspire other Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people to participate in cultural activities. Walter was recently awarded with the Office for Young Indigenous Achiever Award for South Australia. Walter’s visual art is a reflection of his understanding and knowledge of his land.

In order for Health Units to be meeting the Adequate Records Management Standard, it is essential that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and obligations.
