Duties: The Executive Officer, Aboriginal Aged Care, is accountable to the Director of the Southern Fleurieu Health Service. Using a Primary Health Care approach, the Executive Officer develops implements and evaluates strategies and programs to meet the community service needs of the frail, aged and younger disabled members of the Aboriginal community in the Hills Mallee Southern Region through promoting and coordinating access to local community support services, generic community health services and community controlled Aboriginal Health Services.
Special Conditions: This is a part‑time position working 60 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked. The duties of this position may be adapted to the organisational requirements as determined by service wide planning process. Current drivers license. Travel within the Hills, Mallee Southern Region. Some out of hours work and Intra‑state travel may be required. Out of hours work may include transport in emergency cases where public transport is unavailable. This will be at the discretion of the Executive Officer, Aboriginal Aged Care, and only with approval from the Director, SFHS. Appointee will be required to produce a National Police Certificate without being found guilty of any offence relevant to the area of employment.
