Top level Regional Initiatives Aboriginal Services APHCAP (Aboriginal Primary Health Care Access Program)


APHCAP (Aboriginal Primary Health Access Program) is a Commonwealth – funded program whose aim is to improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander access to effective, comprehensive primary care services.

The APHCAP business plan for 2005/06 has been completed and funding has been allocated. The plan still focuses on the seven identified priority areas as follows:
  • Elders
  • Youth
  • Substance Misuse
  • Social and Emotional Wellbeing
  • Diabetes
  • Transport
  • Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service
